Which iPad Versions are Compatible With the Procreate App?

In this class, I use an iPad 8 with the 1st generation Apple Pencil. This is a really good, inexpensive iPad.
I also have an iPad Pro and 2nd generation Apple Pencil.

The current version of Procreate is supported on the following iPad models:

• iPad Pro 12.9-inch (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th generation)
• iPad Pro 11-inch (1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th generation)
• iPad Pro 10.5-inch
• iPad Pro 9.7-inch
• iPad (5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th generation) * Please note: the iPad 5th generation is not compatible with the Apple Pencil, which will make it difficult to complete this class.
• iPad mini (5th and 6th generation)
• iPad mini 4 - the Apple Pencil is not compatible with this version, which will make it hard to complete this class.
• iPad Air (3rd, 4th and 5th generation)
• iPad Air 2

You can use Apple Pencil (1st generation) with these iPad models:

• iPad mini (5th generation)
• iPad (6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th generation)
• iPad (10th generation) You need the USB-C to Apple Pencil Adapter to pair and charge Apple Pencil with iPad (10th generation).
• iPad Air (3rd generation)
• iPad Pro 12.9-inch (1st and 2nd generation)
• iPad Pro 10.5-inch
• iPad Pro 9.7-inch

You can use Apple Pencil (2nd generation) with these iPad models: 

• iPad mini (6th generation)
• iPad Air (4th generation and later)
• iPad Pro 12.9-inch (3rd generation and later)
• iPad Pro 11-inch (1st generation and later)
