Family Quick Book: Introduction—Canva (1:46)

If you’re ready to create a book about your family or someone in your family tree, then take a look at the Family Quick Book—a set of templates that almost does the job for you!

You don’t have to learn a complicated program like Photoshop or Photoshop Elements to create a beautiful book!

You can do it with Canva.com, the FREE online design website plus these videos that will introduce you to the Family Quick Book templates and show you how to use them on Canva.

Let’s take a look at what’s in the folders you’ll receive when you download the Canva version of the Family Quick Book.

Paper

First there’s a lovely set of heritage paper designed by Susie Roberts. It comes in 3 sizes: 12x12, 8.5x11, and 11x8.5 inches.

These papers are lightly designed, meaning you can put the photos and frames on them, add your title and journaling, and you’ll have a beautifully designed page! The paper is mostly neutral in color so it goes well with other digital paper you may already have.

Frames

The Family Quick Book also comes with 2 sets of pre-designed frames for your photos:

There are frames with a vintage deckle edge for horizontal, vertical, or square photos. Each frame comes with a drop shadow already applied.

Here’s my finished page using deckle frames.

There’s also a set of vintage photo-mat frames.

These are great for ancestor photos or to draw attention to a specific vintage photo.
