Congratulations on finishing QwikLearn Photoshop Elements Part 1! You've learned strong foundational skills you'll use over and over. So now it's time for the Part 1 project. With most projects, you'll actually create something. But since Part 1 is mostly introducing you to Photoshop Elements, and learning how to set it up properly, I've kept the project very simple. In the practice folder for part one lesson 13, you'll find a PDF checklist that lists all the major skills you learned in part one. Next to each skill is a checkbox you can click on to check off each skill that you've practiced. You can save the PDF and it will retain the checkmarks.
Alternately, you can print the PDF and check off the skills manually. If you can't remember how to do something on the list, or if you don't feel confident in your skill level, you can quickly review the lesson using the manual or you can watch the video again. But most of all, use the skill. That's the best way to remember what you learn. There is one thing I don't want you to do, and that is to get stuck thinking you have to master everything on this list. The goal of Part 1 is not mastery, but familiarity. Move on to Part 2 as quickly as you can, even if you don't recall most of what you've learned in this chapter. When we encounter the need for these skills in future lessons, I'll repeat the instructions so don't worry about it. The important thing is for you to start creating something fun in Photoshop Elements, creating is the road to mastery. And you'll start creating in Part 2 of qQwikLearn Photoshop Elements.
