Using Layered Templates: Watch Me Create
Watch as I use the project files to create something artistic from start to finish.
There are no step-by-step instructions in this video because I’ve already taught you all the skills I used when creating my project.
Video 05-11: Using Layered Templates: Watch Me Create (11:02)
I'm Linda Sattgast and in this video I'll demo exactly how I design my project for Part 5 using layer templates. I won't give you step by step instructions in this video, since I've already taught everything I'm going to do in prior lessons, but I might add a few comments here and there to clarify my thought process. So sit back and relax and join me as I create my project. To fulfill the first project rule, I'm going to turn this 12 x 12 inch template into a 5 x 7 inch horizontal card.
Here I've opened the photos I plan to use, but first I want to adjust the photo clipping masks.
Since this is a small card, I would like to make these just a little bit bigger.
Now let's work on one of the mats. I want to resize it but first I'll need to straighten it. It's already pretty straight.
Let's move that down just a little bit. Now let's add the photos. Here I've opened the frame element from the project files so I can frame both of the photos.
Now let's add the paper to the project. The last thing I'll do is add a couple of elements to my card.
So that's how I designed my card starting with a 12 x 12 inch template, changing it to a 5 x 7 inch horizontal card, making some adjustments, then adding the photos, papers and elements. I'm Linda Sattgast with Qwiklearn Photoshop Elements.
