- PHOTOS: Photos Don’t Fill a Mask
Explanation: When placing a rectangular photo into a round photo mask, make sure the boundaries of the photo are well outside the boundaries of the photo mask. You shouldn’t be able to see the hard edges of the clipped photo. - PAPER: Bevels On Paper Or Elements
Explanation: The shadow that’s added to a piece of paper is what will give it depth and a 3-D appearance. Do not add bevels to a piece of paper to add depth. - TYPE: Placing the Title Randomly
Explanation: In any design, but especially the mirror design, a title placed in the middle of nowhere is a no-no. Always play the title in close proximity to other important parts of the page. - (BONUS) ELEMENTS: Randomly Placed Elements
Explanation: Placing elements in close proximity with the focal point of the page is a guarantee for success.
